Recipe: Hibiscus and Rosehip Cocktail
Directions:
In a measuring cup, pour boiling water over hibiscus and rosehips, steep for 5 minutes, and strain into a jar. Chill before use. (Store any unused portions in the refrigerator for up to two weeks.)
In a shaker filled with ice, combine gin, simple syrup, and the chilled hibiscus and rosehip tea. Shake vigorously for 30 seconds, then strain into a champagne flute. Top off the flute with champagne, add a drop of orange blossom water, and stir gently. Garnish with a hibiscus petal.
Ingredients:
- 1 tablespoon whole organic hibiscus petals
- 3 tablespoons c/s organic hibiscus flowers
- 1 tablespoon whole organic rosehips
- 1 part gin
- 1/2 part simple syrup
- 3 parts champagne
- 1 drop orange blossom water
- 1 cup boiling water
